Password not working for admin user after changing to external database.

Gaurav Negi

Dear Harbor experts,
1st I installed harbor using local database. and started it.
After that I changed harbor.yml file and added external_database for harbor made it point to RDS in AWS. And then started harbar.again.

Now admin user is not accepting the default password.

Any idea?

Thanks

Hi Harbor is an open source project under cncf so it does not come with enterprise support.  There are commercial flavors of Harbor on the market that come with enterprise support.  If you're interested in learning more, please ping me directly

Gathering data from Harbor API to parse for monitoring

shai.ben.naphtali@...

Hello,

With goharbor/harbor-core:v1.9.2 ; I want to utilize the API to collect stats and various data to later digest and setup monitoring.

I seem to either miss something or maybe I'm not seeing things for what they are, but I noticed that using the API is all or nothing. Meaning, I can't setup a user with Read Only permissions to just collect the data I want via the API.

The API requires authorization by users that, have admin permissions. This for me is a security risk that I can't commit to.

How do you go about setting up (if this is at all possible) a read-only user that has access to the various GET API endpoints?

Cheers,
Shai

Re: LDAP and no functional accouts

Hi Steve,

Thank you so much for the quick response. Unfortunately my problem is not really solved because I have to create a new token for all systems after the expiration of the token.

For my use cases, it would be great if there where tokens/functional accouts that did not expire.

Regards Philipp

Subject: [harbor-users] LDAP and no functional accouts

Hi All,

i have the same problem as described in https://github.com/goharbor/harbor/issues/6002 is. We have our harbor (1.8.1) connected via ldap but have no functional accouts.

For jenkins I need something like this.

According to ticket "robot account feature" is the solution.  Unfortunately I didn't find anything in the documentation. Any idea?

regards Philipp

this is awesome info. thanks  ltnguyen88. How many end users/developers are those 35k containers serving?
which company/organization do you work for and can we publicly name you in our github repo?

Re: Looking for Harbor Users #survey

ltnguyen88
