It would be very nice if someone would indicate how to join slack channel. I tried every conceivable way, looks like its a closed channel. Any faq on or RTFM on this?

Docker login fails error 503
I have setup harbor with a secure installation (using custom certs), and can get into the UX, but cannot login via the docker command. I get the following when I type in THUS:

The issue of overview project broken when chartmuseum not installed is a known issue and fixed already.

The error you mentioned is from the lock mechanism of jobservice which has no influence to the images listing. You should check if there is any errors in the ui.log.

Yes, you can upgrade to 1.6.0 directly with goharbor/harbor-migrator:v1.6.0.
