Subject: Unable to login as any user on UI with fresh installation

Hi,

I installed Harbor (1.7.0) today on Kubernetes with external DB and Redis. Everything seems to run smooth but I can't login to the web interface. Docker login accepts the admin credentials but on the UI it just hangs.

The only thing I see in the log is this:

2019-02-19T05:22:28Z [DEBUG] [security.go:233]: can not get user information from session

2019-02-19T05:22:28Z [DEBUG] [security.go:290]: user information is nil

2019-02-19T05:22:28Z [DEBUG] [security.go:304]: using local database project manager

2019-02-19T05:22:28Z [DEBUG] [security.go:306]: creating local database security context...

Have no clue on where to look to fix it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Eric V.

Thanks a lot for the fast response.

It was my fault.

The chartmuseum was not startet.

From the log:

Jan 26 11:47:30 172.23.0.1 core[20517]: 2019-01-26T10:47:30Z [ERROR] [project.go:426]: Failed to get total of charts under project k8s: Get http://chartmuseum:9999/k8s/index.yaml: dial tcp: lookup chartmuseum on 127.0.0.11:53: no such host

The overview of the projects is broken if the chartmuseum is configured and not running.

Cache control headers for S3 redirects

Vishnu Vardhan <vard...@...>

Hi,

We have harbor setup to redirect to S3 storage. We want to cache these images for a local repository for performance reasons, but it seems like the redirect from harbor to S3 does not specify any serve cache control headers - preventing us from using squid or any other reverse proxy.

Is there a way we can setup the redirect to S3 to have valid cache-control HTTP headers ?

Best Regards
Vishnu

Subject: Installation failing on OSX

Hi,

A basic installation on OSX is failing.

All components are installing, and I get the following message in the end -

✔ ----Harbor has been installed and started successfully.----

Now you should be able to visit the admin portal at http://10.0.0.24:8888.

For more details, please visit https://github.com/goharbor/harbor .

But connection to that host fails with connection refused:

~/Downloads/harbor $ curl http://10.0.0.24:8888

curl: (7) Failed to connect to 10.0.0.24 port 8888: Connection refused

I first tried the default port - but that was not working, and so tried to change the port - following instructions on GitHub. Same error

I had some permissions trouble during the install and had to

1. Create directories manually (e.g /data/redis)

2. Change ownership of some directories from root to my user name

    e.g /var/log/harbor, ./common/config/custom-ca-bundle.crt

The only change to the harbor.cfg is the hostname (10.0.0.24) with our without the custom port.

Please advice.
