Incubation and End Users question
Matt Farina
Hi TOC, In the documentation on the incubation stage it notes that 3 independent end users need to be using the project in production. The definition of an end user is documented elsewhere to provide clarity. This definition works well for a platform, service, or tool that's usually run by someone but for a project like the Artifact Hub, this creates a complicated circumstance. Are end users finding something on the Artifact Hub website that they end up using in production an example of using AH in production? Vendors listing their artifacts for people to discover or running AH itself don't count in this definition. Do we need end users running AH in their own production environment to meet this criteria? I realize AH is an outlier in terms of types of projects. As we look to the incubation stage we want to make sure things are clear. Thanks, Matt |

We've already had some exceptions to this on a case-by-case basis (e.g. for spec projects) but I agree it's not clear. One idea is to replace the "end user" terminology with "adopter", which would then need some clarification On Thu, Jun 17, 2021 at 4:21 PM Matt Farina <matt@...> wrote:
