🚧 Contributor survey | Please help get the word out
Catherine Paganini <catherine@...>
Dear TOC members, As mentioned during today's meeting, we need your help to get more respondents for the CNCF & TAG CS contributor survey. The goal is to better understand friction points and help projects retain/attract contributors. We can all agree that a better understanding would greatly benefit the ecosystem. How you can help:
The CNCF plans to announce the results at KubeCon, so we'd need to move fast. Thank you for your support! The TAG Contributor Strategy Team

Catherine, would you send the TOC a brief write up so that when we tweet or share on our networks we've got the correct language/context to share with folks? Thanks in advance!

Please take this survey, and let us know how we can improve 👇 https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CNCF-Contributor-Survey-2022 Write-up: If you are an open source contributor, please participate in this survey by the CNCF and TAG Contributor Strategy. The CNCF teamed up with project maintainers to better understand your friction points and how they can improve. Projects really want to provide the best possible contributor experience, but it's not always easy to understand what it feels like to be on the other side. Help them help you by providing candid feedback — thank you! *To tag a person or organization in LinkedIn, type @ and the name. The CNCF should pop up. Dear all, it will be too late for this time, but for future runs, I'd like to make two comments/observations//suggestions: Question 3 overloads two orthogonal questions * "How long have you been (not) around", and * "What is your motivation, payment or studies?", while leaving out "personal/hobby/I believe in it" into one. Question 5 skews heavily towards the positive: 5. Overall, how would you describe your experience contributing to CNCF projects in the past year? Excellent Great Good Fair Needs improvement Rest looks really nice. Thanks for doing this work! Best, Richard |

Leaving out Personal/Hobby was an oversight, though; we can add it now for new responses, I think. Thanks for feedback! -- -- Josh Berkus Kubernetes Community Architect OSPO, OCTO |

Not sure what this group did exactly, but we got an additional 30+ responses — thank you so much! Can we repeat that one more time this week (and maybe next)? Repetition works! Reposting the sample social post and write up for your convenience. Thanks again, we really appreciate your support!! Tweet/LinkedIn For tweets please use @CloudNativeFdn handle, for LinkedIn, tag the CNCF*
