Final RFC: linkerd
At the TOC call this week, we discussed finalizing the linkerd proposal and getting it ready for vote. I propose we have a final RFC over the next few days and call for a formal vote early next week. Please make any comments/suggestions here:

At the TOC call today, we have a presentation from the Traefik (https://traefik.io/) team:
As part of the project proposal process, we aim to have a discussion about the project on the mailing list / TOC call before a decision is made to formally invite a project. I invite the TOC and the wider CNCF community to comment on the mailing list.
From my personal end, I'd love to ask Emile and the Traefik community about production usage. I know that on the call Cisco was mentioned, but would love to learn more about where else Traefik is being used in the wild.
Thanks again Emile for taking the time to present!

Emile VAUGE <emile@...>
Thanks a lot for your time everyone :) Chris,
First, Traefik is used in multiple open source projects like Mantl from Cisco or Apollo from Cap Gemini. Other than that, a lot of companies have been using Traefik in production even before the 1.0 release back in July 2016. I cannot give all names publicly, but for example Cisco, Reevoo, Yardstick or HP are all using it in production. Emile

I believe we have 8 votes in favour, which I'll take as carried.
Note: one TOC member (SH) asked that we "take special care to clearly advertise the difference" between "inception projects" and "incubated projects". Thank-you. On Mon, Dec 5, 2016 at 8:27 PM, Jonathan Boulle <jonathan.boulle@coreos.com> wrote: +1

TOC call this week
alexis richardson
Hi all,
I'm away this week and so Ken Owens will chair the meeting. We have a few votes landing, plus some proposals nearing completion. There will be a presentation from Pachyderm. I hope there will be some time to talk about Special Projects such as CI, governance, and cloud native apps and patterns, where the CNCF is soliciting help in the coming months. In addition -- this will be the last scheduled TOC phone meeting of 2016. Thank-you to everyone who has dialled in and followed up on Slack & this email list. I personally feel that we are "getting there". 2017 will be a big year for all things Cloud Native... alexis

YES/+1 Note that a single file of committers is too simplistic for large projects, but that's not required by the criteria, so I don't see it as a blocker.
