Backstage Incubation Proposal - Public Comment
Liz Rice
Hi everyone, Backstage has applied to move from Sandbox to Incubation. As my last piece of work before I step off the TOC, I'm sharing the proposal and Due Diligence document for public comment. I have been the TOC Sponsor up to this point, and a new sponsor will take over once the new TOC is in place. PR: https://github.com/cncf/toc/pull/717 Due Diligence doc: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1MRXo1ImGJUkMIim4sP8JI88OhCa4Dsd6LkK7gh8BrBc/edit?usp=sharing Everyone is welcome to comment in the document, on the PR, or in reply to this thread, before we move to a TOC vote. As always, the period of public comment will last a minimum of two weeks. Liz

Correcting my off-by-one error: Friday, February 4th, at noon Pacific. I'll announce the winner of the runoff at that time.

Re: [cncf-tag-network] [cncf-toc] Clarification from KubeEdge Community
Ranganath, Sunku <sunku.ranganath@...>
Hi Liz,
An important aspect about FabEdge, that I understood, is that it establishes IPSec tunnels between Edge nodes and the cloud. Leveraging multiple CNIs in a Kubernetes cluster is not an uncommon practice (example article).
Did you get the info you are looking for?
Thanks, Sunku Ranganath

Just came across the documentation by chance and stumped upon the edgemesh dependency information[0], pretty straight forward to me that it is not tightly coupled with KubeEdge in any way.
