Hello Kubernetes Certification Working Group! Development work on the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) exam continues. The schedule has been adjusted out a few weeks as a result of the technical delays getting a working gold image. Below are some updates including the revised Beta testing target timeline. Development status * Finalized language on 31 of 31 exam Items * Grading scripts completed for 23 of 31 items * Built a K8s image (exam environment) with 6 clusters: * Immaculate Kubernetes * Broken Kubernetes * Incomplete Kubernetes * Fresh Kubernetes * High-Availability (HA) Kubernetes * Evacuation Kubernetes * Working on a proposed a solution to handle CKA candidates switching kubernetes contexts required to complete different exam items Beta testing * Now targeted for June (exact dates TBD) * We are still looking for volunteers to help with beta testing the exams. Greetings CNCF workgroup! I've attached several people on CC on this thread that are certainly interested in beta testing the exam + materials when the MOOC is ready. Will there be an official sign up process posted to the list, or is this initial signal enough? All five applications on CC have communicated with me they are interested and if you're looking for a central point of contact to coordinate the communications I'm happy to act as that parlance/proxy. Best, Liz Beta Tester Sign-up for Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) exam The Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) is creating their inaugural exam certification: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA). Are you interested in getting an early peek as a beta tester? If so, please read on! -- The online exam consists of a set of performance-based items (problems) to be solved in a command line. -- The exam is expected to take 3-4 hours to complete. -- Beta testers will be sent a coupon code to register and schedule the beta exam during a time period in June TBD. -- After taking the exam, each beta tester will be asked to provide exam experience feedback in a questionnaire. -- Prior to the exam, each Beta tester will be asked to e-sign a basic Agreement.
